Sofia is a SNAP-Ed Nutrition Educator providing direct nutrition education for the Douglas County community. Her passion for working with the members of the community comes from her experiences with different organizations that focus on collaboration and improvement for the community-at-large. With her background in nutrition and dietetics, she is excited to help others learn about nutrition and the impact that food has on their everyday lives.

Sofia received her bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management and Dietetics with an emphasis in Nutrition and Dietetics from Western Kentucky University in 2021. In addition to completing her dietetic internship through Northwest Missouri State University in the spring of 2023, Sofia also became a Registered Dietitian.
