Recently, we’ve undergone a facelift of sorts by bringing new people onboard and retooling some of our existing staff. We hope that you’ll

appreciate this new look and feel, even if it isn’t exactly what you’ve come to know in the past. Regardless of who occupies these roles, our commitment to our mission – and to you – remains the same. Most recently, we have welcomed Daniel Lassman into our Agriculture and Horticulture Program Assistant position and Nickie Harding has transitioned into our 4-H Youth Development Agent position. Just as we said farewell to our spring Community Health Intern Marcus Johnson, we’re welcoming three summer Youth Development Interns – Kalen Dressler, Rachel Pratt and Hannah Riedy.

All of us are excited to offer Douglas County residents something to chew on this summer. With fresh enthusiasm and new perspectives, we think our work will speak to you in new ways and we hope that you’re up for participation. Each of our program areas are designed to meet your needs and introduce novel concepts to your daily life.

In Douglas County, we think that you are a critical piece of our mission. As you peruse the content of this newsletter, we hope that you’ll consider how you might plug into this work. We’re certain that something within here will either interest you or inspire you to reach out and connect with us. Either way, we look forward to meeting you and learning how we can be of service to you, your family, and your community.
