2026 Information

Expectations

As a participant of Citizenship Washington Focus, delegates are expected to complete the following
to travel with the Douglas County delegation to Washington, D. C. in June of 2026.

• I will pay a $500 non-refundable deposit on or before May 1, 2025. Deposit should be made payable to “Douglas County 4-H Council,” with CWF Deposit in the memo line. (Payment plans are available)
• I will attend 80% of the CWF meetings. If I have a conflict with a particular meeting date, I will notify the Extension office prior to the meeting. IF I am unable to attend 80% of the meetings, I will be expected to do additional work to make up for my absence.
• I will actively serve on a committee (assigned at first meeting).
• I will assist with ALL fundraising efforts by planning and working to generate dollars to offset travel costs. If I am unable to reach a goal that is established, I will pay the amount I would have raised by reaching my goal. I understand that if we do not raise enough funds for our trip, I will be expected to cover the difference.
• I will assist with trip planning by researching sites, presenting information on historical
  places, sharing government knowledge, and serving as a distinguished representative
  for Douglas County 4-H
• I will deliver a presentation about CWF to my 4-H club and an additional 4-H club or
  organization after returning from the trip.
