Immediate Upcoming Event Reminders

Horse Identification Papers – Required for County/State Fair - Due June 2

All horses intended to be shown at the Douglas County Fair/Kansas State Fair must be identified through the Douglas County Extension Office. Horse ID papers must be submitted to the Douglas County Extension Office by June 2. You must submit new Horse ID papers for 2025. 2025 Horse ID Papers can be downloaded here.

 

Douglas County Fair Dog Safety Meeting - June 8

Any 4-H'er showing a Dog at the Douglas County Fair is required to attend a Dog Handler Safety Meeting. The final meeting is scheduled for Sunday, June 8, at 1:00 p.m. in the Dreher Family 4-H Bldg. Please do not bring your dog to this meeting. It is information only. You can sign up for the training at: https://bit.ly/DOGSAFETYMEETiNG

 

Poultry Pullorum Testing - June 28

On Saturday, June 28, we will host our Poultry Pullorum Testing event from 8:00 – 10:00 a.m. in the Open Pavilion on the Douglas County Fairgrounds. You must test birds exhibiting at the county fair if you do not have a certified U.S. Pullorum Typhoid clean flock certificate. Please sign up for a time slot at: https://bit.ly/4mkPOAo.

Any 4-H'er(7-18) planning to exhibit a food producing animal at the Douglas County Fair, Kansas State Fair or the Kansas Junior Livestock Show must complete the 2025 YQCA training. Any 4-H'er who is 7 years old, must complete the training in person. To view details and to register go here.
