Farm Finance Workshop
Need help getting a handle on your farm finances?
K-State Research and Extension Douglas County can help you learn more about managing the finances on your farm’s operations this coming winter.
For women, we will be offering a special program called Farm Financial Skills for Kansas Women in Agriculture, in conjunction with the Kansas State University Agricultural Economics Department. This program will be held in the Dreher Family 4-H Building at the Douglas County Fairgrounds, on four Wednesdays, from January 15 to February 5, 2020. The programs will be from 5:30pm-8:30pm each Wednesday evening and will include dinner, educational presentations and discussion on topics such as recordkeeping, cash flow, balance sheets and more. Through this workshop, participants will perform hands-on financial activities with a case farm where they will have the opportunity to do performance analysis and benchmarking to understand how financial statements can assist in management decision-making. Participants will also develop a financial management plan for their own operation.
There is a $40 registration fee to cover some of the costs of the workshop. Register by December 31 to be sure you are included in the class.
